Most adults don't relish the thought of being in front of a camera. But I can assure you that your session will be fun, and after the first couple of shots you will forget there is a camera there. When you book your session, I confirm time, location, and who will be there. I am happy to give advice about what to wear (also see the "what to wear" section), or discuss any concerns you have. Individual sessions differ because I offer custom photography. Please refer to the appropriate section below for more info on your session.
PORTRAIT sessions for families, adults, teens, couples, maternity, kids and pets are fun and casual, generally lasting for 1 to 2 hours. A minimum of 20 photographs will be available for you to see during a personal ordering session, or in a password protected gallery on this site.
WEDDINGS: I book a limited number of weddings each year to fit in with my family life. The photography is well planned, relaxed and fun, with attention to detail, and an assistant photographer. I prefer to meet you both before confirming your booking, to make sure that we are a good fit for each other. I then provide you with a contract, and prepare a shoot plan to help the day go smoothly. After the wedding, a sneak peek is available within a day or two and digital images edited and in your hands within four weeks. I am happy to fast-track an image for thank you cards.
COMMERCIAL PHOTOGRAPHY involves consultation to ensure that I understand your brief and marketing/brand management objectives. I ensure that everything is managed to provide what you need within your timeframes, and I am happy to work directly with your PR, advertising and printing companies. With experience in sales and marketing, I understand the importance of meeting customer and client needs, and I enjoy working in corporate and commercial environments. I have a particular affinity with the primary sector.
NEWBORN sessions can be carried out in the comfort of your own home, or I have a small studio perfect for newborns and kids. I prefer to photograph your new arrival within the first two weeks. A minimum of 15 photographs will be available for you to see during a personal ordering session, or in a password protected gallery on this site.
BIRTH PHOTOGRAPHY is relatively new in New Zealand, but is dramatically increasing in popularity as parents-to-be want to capture the wonder of this huge life changing event. It is a series of photographs tastefully depicting the enormity of the day and wonder of holding your precious bundle for the first time. I don't use a flash, and quietly work in the background so you barely know I am there. Images are provided on DVD in full resolution, and I would love to help create a quality album or prints for you.
FINE ART prints are available for purchase, including those shown in the Fine Art gallery on this site. Otherwise you can contact me with your requirements for custom photographs. I can also organise sets for hotels, motels, apartments etc.
PHOTO RETOUCHING AND RESTORATION are available, and quoted based on the estimated time to complete the restoration. I provide you with the finished digital file, and I am happy to arrange professional prints.
